Production Notes is my attempt at a productivity blog. In it, I will document my working days in short posts describing work activity and accomplishments. Additionally, I will probably give thoughts on design ideas, my process for solving design problems, and general observations about my days and workplace.
A little about me…
I am a graphic designer working as a contractor for a federal agency in Denver, Colorado. In addition to attending to the nuts and bolts of designing graphics, editing photos and laying out pages, I also manage several projects and help consult team members on questions regarding print production, prepress and print purchasing.
As a designer, I try to focus on how text, color, iconography and medium (paper/ink/production process) can support a clear, consistent, relevant message.
What keeps me sane personally (in no particular order): caffeine, politics, periodicals, vodka, blogs, ice cream, dry weather and regular social activity.
