More cooking, less music

So, here is the new WRC logo.  I’d say that I like it an equal amount to the previous one.  I just changed the icons.  Even though it’s a seemingly small change, little things like that can take a while.  The crab was easy, but the other two changes (the chef and the stewing pot) [...]

Presentation Finished

The Transition presentation I’ve been working on finally got finished this afternoon.  There were several false starts with production, but I’ve been assured it’s on it’s way to DC on a FedEx plane tonight.  Special thanks to MS for taking the package to the FedEx center downtown to catch the last drop off of the [...]

More Odds and Ends

I had more odds and ends to wrap up this afternoon after an incredibly focused morning.  This summary will be quick.

OCSC staff meeting
Mandated Privacy Training via OLU
Phone call and meeting re: WRC hospitality packets
LEED Training certificates modifications

Last but not least, I did publicize this blog to all those on my OCSC team.  Welcome, if you’re [...]

Last minute

I got tapped to get some things together at the last minute before I left.  It’s a good thing I had already worked on some of those layouts earlier this afternoon.  Sometimes it’s nice to have pressure, as it ensures quick production, and quick production is something I always agree with (except when I don’t).
So, [...]

Smallish stuff

This afternoon I took care of a lot of little stuff.

I got a letter-size page setup going for the Transition presentation
I got a layout for LEED certificates that Amy reminded me about
I had a quick meeting regarding roles and assignments for the upcoming WRC
I had a meeting about copy for the conference room posters
I consulted [...]

Ending June

Well, it’s really the beginning of July, but today is what I consider to be the end of my June work month.
As predicted, I spent most of my afternoon trying to get through at PPT for Transition.
Wrapping up the month, I had four things I wanted to get done:

FY07 Annual Report
FY08 RE:CONNECT
Walls
Room Posters

While I didn’t [...]

Longer than expected

I didn’t bring my lunch today and arranged to go with a coworker.  Unfortunately, he got pulled into a meeting that took a while longer than expected.  We still went to lunch at the end of his meeting, but I used the extra time to work on the One GSA charter/proclamation I needed to present [...]

100 lbs

I feel like there’s a hundred pounds of pressure sitting on my chest right now.  There is a lot going on between WRC, RE:WIND, walls, and a couple other smallish projects that nevertheless end up taking more than just a few minutes.
I spent the afternoon working on conference room posters.   I flowed in copy and [...]
